Deposits
A deposit of 50% is required to confirm your booking, unfortunately, orders are not confirmed until a deposit has been made.
The outstanding balance is due in the case of wedding cakes TWO weeks prior to delivery date. All other orders are due ONE week prior to collection.
Failure to make full payment may result in the order being cancelled and your deposit will not be refunded.
Cancellations:
Celebration cakes: 2 week's notice is required for a full refund should an order be cancelled.
Wedding orders: 4-week notice period is required.
Deposits can, however, be transferred to a later date or different order (notice of 5 days for celebration cakes and 10 days for wedding orders).
Allergens:
Any allergen requirements MUST be discussed prior to your order been placed.
Although we offer some Free From cakes, our premises and machinery are used and are in contact with milk, nut and wheat products.
In all instances, it is your responsibility to inform us of any allergy requirements.
Collection:
Once the order has been collected it is your responsibility to transport the cake in a secure and safe manner.
Cakes transported in vehicles should be placed in an empty boot on a flat surface ensuring the cake is secure and movement in the vehicle is kept to a minimum, driving carefully and avoiding sudden turns and or stops. In hot weather, it is advisable to turn on air-conditioning and limit the time the cake is in transit to avoid the cake melting and collapsing due to extreme heat.
Cakes By La'chi cannot be held responsible or liable for any damage once the cake has been accepted and taken out of the premises.
Delivery charges:
A minimum of £10.00 plus £0.50p per mile is chargeable for delivery depending on location and agreed prior to booking.
Delivery and setup charges are added to all wedding orders.
Complaints:
In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your order when the cake has been cut, we require the return of the entire cake for inspection to help us determine the nature of the concern. Unfortunately, we cannot consider any refunds without the return of the cake. Should we find that the issue is due to our failure in any way, a percentage of the total cost will be agreed and refunded.

All contact information gathered from this site will be used to keep in contact about your order. We will also use your email to communicate with you about your order and we will add you to our mailing list for future events and offers.
